Czech Union for Nature Conservation 

Czech Union for Nature Conservation (in czech Cesky svaz ochrancu prirody; abbreviated CSOP) is the biggest civil association (NGO = non-government organisation) that works at the field of nature and landscape protection in the Czech Republic. Environmental education and work with children and youth has also its place in our activities. We have about 9500 members in more than 350 local chapters in all country.

Among our members you can meet experts and scientists but most of them are ordinary people who may not have a great deal of knowledge of nature but simply want to enjoy it.

 ČSOP local chapters 

Local chapters are basic parts of our Union. Most of our members are associated in them. In local chapters there take place bigger part of our activities. For establishing and existence of local chapters they have to have 5 members who 18-years older. Local chapters has its own law subjectivy, so they are very independent and all their activities are up to them.
